Juri Loginov, thank you.

This man right here.

Thank you for gracing Minneapolis with your presence. Thank you for collecting your memories on this fabulous blog, 10 years with you.
Juri and I left the states at the same time. His blog was a great farewell item for me to reminisce upon as well.

And don't forget peeps, Juri holds it down with his travels and lovely day to day life right here, blah blah blah.

Amazing. <3

One more little treat, courtesy of Miss Ashley Ryan.

This is another fond memory I will miss. However, there was always something wrong with this picture. I should be sitting at the table not just pouring the coffee. Maybe next year...
eerrrrr the year after I mean... :/

Winter? Yes, please!!

Yakutsk and Oymyakon, Russia.

"I'm not afraid of the cold; I'm only afraid of dogs. The cold can't bite you."

I was going to say, call me crazy but I want to go here.' But then, at the end of this video, they actually say if you live here you are insane or truly want to test the human limits.

"Until it gets to -40 C it's absolutely fine." hahahahha

However, I really do want to visit- call me crazy. And its neither of those two reasons. I love the winter. In fact, I think it is my favorite season. I say 'I think' for I need to stay through another brutal one to be sure, action speaks louder than words. But oh man- winter is soooo beautiful. This city is jaw droppingly beautiful. And there is something romantic yet extremely brutal about the cold. The harshness of it only adds to my obsession.

BBC did a little article here, which is how I first read read about Yakutsk. Watch the video.
I found the video above on this article, which has some worthy pictures.
Aahhhh some day I will sit in a little cabin here, toasty warm next to the fire, having just came in from the bitter -72 degree weather. Birds freeze mid flight! If you throw hot water in the air it vaporizes then turns to snow! And the woods and town look like a picture perfect winter wonderland! Did you hear that 'crunch crunch' in the video?! I am excited.
