Geumjeong-san and then some

Hannah and I decided to go on the cable car this Sunday. Woohoo! I have never been on the cable car! It is in Geumgang Park, at the foot of Geumjeong Mountain on the Dongnae side. The park/ mountain features odd rock formations and a wonderful pine forest. There are little areas to visit in the park, lots of hiking, a temple or two, little shops to stop and snack, and so on. The Sunday before the weather was tip-top. I was planning on going out after so I didn't wear my hiking shoes. I also left the long-john shirt at home. Big mistakes. Freezin' my little buns off in a matter of minutes!! It sucked and I learned my lesson to be more prepared next time (Wednesday?). Anyhow, it was a great ol' time on the mountain. We took the cheater/ under- dressed people way and rode the cable car both ways. We hiked around the top of the mountain a bit and also stopped for a bite to eat in a bubble tent. Expensive pajeon but fun for the experience.

Pretty great right?

Holy hiking trails! And this is just one of Busan's many mountains! Hiking for dayyyyyzzzz!

Legends of the hidden temple!

Steamy pajeon.

Yum!

Sprawling Busan, Busan surrounded by mountains and the sea!

3.6 million people down there...

Post freezing walk, honestly, all I wanted to do was go home and unthaw. I warmed my feet as much as I could on the subway. Although, I didn't get as comfy as the Koreans were. Sleep tight.x

Sunday Funday continued with Miss Maren, a margarita, a big fat burrito, and a bowl of guacamole!

Ole! Or as they say in Korea Olleh!

Sunday hikes!

Last Sunday Hannah, Mike, and I went on a lovely, little hike at Iggidae park. A great addition to the Sunday Funday- I'm a huge fan of the sunday mountain hikes. This week Hannah and I are planning on going out again. x

Ultra Saurus! Ultra Awesome!

Bon Voyage

Winter vacations are poppin' off left and right. I'm extremely envious of my friends' adventures. I am also sad that half of my buds here are gone- leaving me in the cold. :/ Everyone is flying off to Thailand, Indonesia, Borneo,Cambodia, and who knows where else!! Have fun friends. Get a tan for me!
Aaron rubbing it in with his literature and sandals.

Also, Jonny was in town for a bit inbetween adventures. He had biked a bazillion miles from Korea to the ever expansive China, into Vietnam, and soon the trip will continue! Crazy! Amazing! I wanna go! ps I'm looking at a bike in a couple of days here! Wish me luck! :::excited:::

Hannah had a sweet tooth. After dinner she snuck out of the fancy restaurant and came back with Cold Stone! hahaha YES!

Marit's B-day!

Woohooo!! Marit had another 21st Birthday! =D Where else would we celebrate but Amby's! The following day we had a good ol' fashioned Sunday Funday, Haeundae Beach style. I met friends earlier and had brunch followed by a few photo galleries and gourmet hot chocolate. Then Marit, Gerald, and I went back to the pub; I ate two meals there (brunch and dinner), played cards, took slap shots, and had a great ol' visit. I don't have pictures from Sunday. Both were great-- Sunday was better for visiting points with my favorite gal, Marit. <3 Plus it was an ENTIRE Sunday Funday. The Packers won and everything! YES!

Happy Birthday Marit! <3

Woooohooooo!!!!!

Alfred, one of our humble hosts.

Hello, long lost friend.

The restaurant was PACKED-- all for Miss Marit.

Shannon is amazing. I asked her what were some of the reasons why she loves Korea so much. Answer: You get to eat cake with chopsticks. Yes. This girl, she is amazing.x

Dinner of champions. Actually, I want to puke thinking about those mayonnaise fries.
