Hannah and I decided to go on the cable car this Sunday. Woohoo! I have never been on the cable car! It is in Geumgang Park, at the foot of Geumjeong Mountain on the Dongnae side. The park/ mountain features odd rock formations and a wonderful pine forest. There are little areas to visit in the park, lots of hiking, a temple or two, little shops to stop and snack, and so on. The Sunday before the weather was tip-top. I was planning on going out after so I didn't wear my hiking shoes. I also left the long-john shirt at home. Big mistakes. Freezin' my little buns off in a matter of minutes!! It sucked and I learned my lesson to be more prepared next time (Wednesday?). Anyhow, it was a great ol' time on the mountain. We took the cheater/ under- dressed people way and rode the cable car both ways. We hiked around the top of the mountain a bit and also stopped for a bite to eat in a bubble tent. Expensive pajeon but fun for the experience.
Pretty great right?
Holy hiking trails! And this is just one of Busan's many mountains! Hiking for dayyyyyzzzz!
Legends of the hidden temple!
Steamy pajeon.
Yum!
Sprawling Busan, Busan surrounded by mountains and the sea!
3.6 million people down there...
Post freezing walk, honestly, all I wanted to do was go home and unthaw. I warmed my feet as much as I could on the subway. Although, I didn't get as comfy as the Koreans were. Sleep tight.x
Sunday Funday continued with Miss Maren, a margarita, a big fat burrito, and a bowl of guacamole!
Ole! Or as they say in Korea Olleh!
